Group Classes
Group classes are a great training option - as your classmates learn, they are also acting as a distraction to your dog. All of my group classes are currently located at one of the two PawSafe Animal Rescue locations in Connecticut and are purely positive reinforcement classes as I want your dog to look forward to coming to class. My classes only have 3-4 puppies or dogs in each class because when the weather is not cooperative, the indoor space is fairly small, and I’d like each dog to have enough distance from classmates to make management easier if someone is uncomfortable.
Puppy Group Classes - Lvl. 1
$230 (8 -1 hour classes)
→This class is for puppies who are 5 months old or younger. Over our 8 classes we will work on all the basic obedience behaviors including: sit, down, stay, recall, loose leash walking, and more. Having a smaller class size does mean that I’m able to take into account what each of you would like to work on and cut out time for that if it’s not already in my lesson plan. If the puppies are a good match we have the option of play time at the end of class.
Teen/Adult Group Classes - Lvl. 1
$230 (8 -1 hour classes)
→This class is for dogs who are over 5 months of age. Over our 8 classes we will work on all the basic obedience behaviors including: sit, down, stay, recall, loose leash walking, and more. Having a smaller class size does mean that I’m able to take into account what each of you would like to work on and cut out time for that if it’s not already in my lesson plan. If the dogs are a good match we have the option of play time at the end of class but it is less likely in the older dog class.
More Manners Group Classes - Lvl. 2
$190 (8 -1 hour classes)
→ This class is for the puppies & dogs who have already completed a level one class. This class also runs for 8 weeks but is working on strengthening everything we learned in our prior class. We will have loose leash walking, stays, and maybe even start to limit the amount of treats we use if your pup can handle it! If there is interest we may even take class to a local public meeting spot where there are distractions in a less controlled environment so we can practice in real world situations.
